Our love story began in the digital age, with a simple swipe right, as many modern romances do. Shared Midwestern roots—Ali hailing from Nebraska and Clay from Kansas—is what initially drew us together and provided a foundation for the bond that would quickly form between us.

Our first date was at a charming French restaurant in Greenwich Village. The ambiance, the company, and the Amish Chicken made it feel like home, and we knew this was the start of something special. The evening culminated with Clay walking Ali to her subway stop. In a moment of tenderness, Ali gave Clay a quick peck on the cheek before rushing to catch her train, unaware this small gesture was the first of many kisses to come.

Spending the first two years in a “long-distance” relationship—Clay on the Upper West Side and Ali in Brooklyn—we quickly found a shared affinity for traveling. Our first trip to Charleston, SC, with its Southern Charm, deep history and haunted carriage rides, kick started a flurry of adventures. From the cobblestone streets of Paris to the sun-kissed beaches of Mexico and the vibrant landscapes of Australia, our love grew stronger as we found joy in these shared experiences and the beauty of the world around us.

Now, we’re beyond thrilled to celebrate our next adventure and celebrate our wedding with all our favorite people in tropical Mexico!
